Smartgate Solutions Limited is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This policy (together with our Terms of Use and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed. For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 2018 (“the Act”), the data controller is Smartgate Solutions Limited trading as Radar Software of 26 Whitehall Rd, Leeds, LS12 1BE.

Our nominated representative for the purpose of the Act and Data Protection Officer is Lee Williams.

INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information you provide by filling out forms on our website(s), which may be amended from time to time. This includes any information while registering for our site, subscribing to services, posting material or requesting further information. We may also capture information when you report problems to our website.

The legal basis we collect, hold and process your information in accordance with the new data protection laws beginning in May 2018 is legitimate interest.

Broadly speaking legitimate interest means we may process your personal information if we see a legitimate business reason you may be interested in Radar Software and associated products and services.

IP ADDRESSES

We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

COOKIES

For the same reason, we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on your browser or the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive. They help us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalised service. Some of the cookies we use are essential for the site to operate.

WHERE WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). If information is deemed to be no longer needed it shall be updated, archived or securely deleted.

USES MADE OF THE INFORMATION

We may use information held about you in the following ways:

  • To ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your device/browser.
  • To provide you with information, products or services from within the Radar Software portfolio which we feel may interest you.
  • To provide your details to carefully chosen third parties so that they can contact you for marketing purposes.

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (when collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. Our site may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act.

This data is subject to be provided in a timescale determined by Radar Software depending on the size of the task.
